We are pleased to offer two environmental courses which are in electronic format. There are two professional courses for this important management area: ISO 14001 EMS Awareness and Environmental Awareness.

This course is designed in a very flexible and economical way to provide the industry with basic environmental management system (EMS) training, in a format suitable for intranet application in addition to group or individual study. The course provides, for just 10-12 hours study, a comprehensive awareness of an EMS using 10 tasks to help the candidate become familiar with whatever EMS is in place within their organisation. The course material includes modules covering Global Issues, an Overview to Electricity and the Environment, Environment and the Law, Environmental Management, What You Can Do and The Future. Self-assessment activities are provided throughout the material, and ten tutor assessed course tasks complete the course.

The cost of this course is set at £250 + VAT for UK candidates and £300 for overseas candidates.

Candidates have a maximum of 12 months in which to complete this course - the recommended time to complete is one month.

This course provides an excellent overview of the science of the environment and how environmental management systems are developed. Aimed at those with responsibility for environmental issues, it provides a professional grounding for managing environmental issues, resulting in both external and electricity industry recognition. Requiring between 40 and 50 hours of study, the course deals with environmental aspects and impacts across all sectors of the electricity industry.

The course material includes modules covering The Environment, Electricity and the Environment, Environment and the Law, Environmental Management, The Environment and You and The Future. Self-assessment activities are provided throughout the material and each module has tutor assigned tasks (35 in total). A two part course assignment is at the end of the course.

The cost of this course is set at £430 + VAT for UK candidates and £480 for overseas candidates.

Candidates have a maximum of two years in which to complete this course - the recommended time to complete is 6 months.
