This course has been running successfully for more than seven years with over 700 candidates using the material. It is aimed at those employed or wishing to become employed as operators in CHP and CCGT stations. The course covers the following topics:

Module 1:   An Overview of CHP & CCGT
Module 2:   Gas Turbines (2 books)
Module 3:   Internal Combustion Engines
Module 4:   Heat Recovery Steam Generators
Module 5:   Steam Turbines (2 books)
Module 6:   Electrical Systems
Module 7:   Auxiliary Plant Systems
Module 8:   Water Treatment Systems
Module 9:   Control & Instrumentation Systems
Module 10: Operations

The duration of the course is approximately 12-15 months and students are encouraged to work at their own pace.  However, students are required to submit at least one module during the first 12 months of study, and will be liable for additional fees if the course is not complete within 3 years of enrolling and they wish to continue studying.

The course enrolment fee is currently set at £1090 + VAT for UK candidates and £1170 for overseas students.
