Power Industry Open Learning Courses

In the next few months we expect to announce that our courses for the power sector have been recognised by the University of Strathclyde.  Indeed the Premier Protection course looks likely to be given postgraduate Diploma status.  Watch this space for further details!

Business Excellence Course Development

The work on redeveloping our ISO 9000:2000, 14001 and OHSAS courses is nearing completion.  The first two will be submitted to IRCA and IEMA for accreditation.  The plan is to hold a training of trainers’ event in September for the Asian offices who wish to become AFAQ-ETA licensees.

IEMA Annual Conference and Exhibition

We will be exhibiting our Business Excellence range of courses at the 2005 IEMA Annual Conference & Exhibition which will take place on 7th & 8th June 2005 at the Chateau Impney Hotel, Droitwich Spa, Worcestershire.

Information on the conference is on www.iema.net

The IEMA Annual Conference and Exhibition is the key environmental event for environmental practitioners wishing to develop their skills and knowledge, whilst networking with others in an informal atmosphere.

Alongside the informative plenary sessions, delegates will have the choice of attending various workshops from an extensive selection of environmental subjects, gaining practical tips whilst sharing experiences and contributing to ongoing professional development.

This two day event will be opened by our Keynote Speaker, Jonathon Porritt, Forum for the Future.

The plenary session on the 7th June will offer presentations on Sustainable Development, The Environment & Europe and Personal Behavior.  The 8th June presentations will include The Environment as Headline News and Are We Adding Value?

Throughout the two day event there will be a focused exhibition and the annual dinner will take place on the 7th June.  Highlights of this include a drinks reception, networking opportunities, entertainment and awards.  Each afternoon, delegates will have the option to attend two workshops followed by a debate on the 7th and a surprise session on the 8th, all focusing upon relevant and pertinent issues, which will provide delegates with the opportunity to gain knowledge in areas specific to their interests and needs.  It will also offer delegates the chance to develop practical experience whilst providing the opportunity to share this with other environmental practitioners.
