BUSINESS EXCELLENCE TRAINING COURSES - OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY MANAGEMENT

The Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems Auditor Conversion Training Course
(IRCA APPROVED)

Health and safety issues now affect all organisations, and potential risks and legal obligations cannot be ignored. To comply with changes in legislation and to protect staff, more organisations are reducing the risk of accidents and litigation by implementing an Occupational Health and Safety Management System based on OHSAS 18001.

The adoption of OHSAS 18001 has created the need for trained, professional auditors to evaluate OHS management systems. To be effective and to bring real benefits to organisations the auditor needs a clear understanding of the OHSAS 18001 requirements and a good audit process. The auditor also needs well developed skills to carry out audits successfully and deal with difficult situations confidently.

The course is also beneficial to delegates who wish to extend their knowledge of quality and/or environmental auditing into Operational Health and Safety and is equally suitable for service and manufacturing organisations.

This 5-day course is a key requirement in becoming a Registered Auditor or Lead Auditor under the internationally recognised IRCA scheme.

The course follows an accelerated blended learning style with minimum lectures and maximum delegate involvement.  It will give an understanding of OHSAS 18001 and OH&S auditing.  The course is supported by workshops which develop essential OH&S auditor skills.
