Launch
of AFAQ UK - The Ward Room, HMS Belfast
The launch of AFAQ UK took place on 16
June 2004 in the Ward Room aboard the historic HMS Belfast in south-east
London.
Attendees included Electricity Industry
representatives from companies including Central Networks, EDF Energy, Jersey
Electricity Company and British Nuclear Group. Representatives from the
IEE and Energy & Utility Skills were also in attendance.
Key presentations were made by Trevor Wilmer
(MD of AFAQ-EAQA Ltd), Bill Fenton (Director of Training for AFAQ-ETA), David
Goldthorpe (Director of Aztec Technical Services) and Ray Pritchard (Consultant for
AFAQ-ETA) covering AFAQ-EAQA's business and their recent ownership of the
ETA's open learning courses, and BEP's training programmes.
The day finished with a guided tour of the
HMS Belfast.
